The Best Organic French Onion Dip (Vegan Friendly!)
Potato chips and french onion dip – there’s something super comforting about this snack and party appetizer. This recipe is good if you’re hosting a BBQ (just increase the serving size) or are just craving some personal Netflix and chip & dip time.
We made this organic French onion spice mix because the pre-made French onion dips can have a lot of weird stuff in them and often tastes “chemically” to us, and those onion dip spice packages at the supermarket just don’t have the kind of quality herbs and spices to make it pop (and they’re not usually organic).
Plus, one of us is a vegetarian, and you may be surprised to know most onion dips use gelatin and beef stock in their recipes (two things that aren’t vegetarian and definitely not vegan). Since Meaghan occasionally eats dairy, we usually use mayo and sour cream, but you can easily make this vegan by using vegan versions of those things.
If you’re making this for a party, we suggest at least doubling it – it goes fast! 🙂
