Currywurst Sausage with Sweet Curry Ketchup Sauce
Currywurst is a very popular dish in Germany that combines German sausage with curry ketchup sauce. It’s absolutely delicious street food that you can easily make at home. This recipe walks you through the process of make the curry ketchup sauce and 2 methods of cooking the sausage and serving. For this recipe we like to use either bratwursts or knockwursts, however other sausages should work great. We made a test version with kielbasa that was excellent. While testing this we used both precooked and fresh sausages and our favorite was fresh bratwursts poached in beer and then pan fried.
