Compound butter sounds fancy, but you can easily make your own! We make this butter to top and finish steak in our reverse seared steak recipe and it is also great served on warm bread or even as the foundation for gravy.
- Let the butter warm to room temperature
- Mix to combine the butter, Herbs de Provence and salt
- Wrap the butter in parchment or plastic wrap to form into a roll, then cool slightly in the fridge so it firms up
