Tikka Masala Chicken Wings
You might not think about the warm flavors of Tikka Masala when you are making chicken wings, but YOU SHOULD. It’s a match made in Buffalo wing heaven. Think about it. If you’re like me, you love chicken wings and you love chicken tikka masala. So why not combine the two? That’s just what we do here in this recipe.
- Prep Time: 15 minutes
- Cook Time: 30
- Total Time: 45 minutes
Ingredients
Scale
For the wings:
- 2 pounds of chicken wings
- 2 Tablespoons Tikka Masala Mix
- 2 Tablespoons cornstarch
For the sauce:
- 2 Tablespoons Tikka Masala Mix
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1 stick of butter
- 1/2 cup ketchup
Instructions
For the wings:
- Combine the Tikka Masala mix and cornstarch and coat the wings in the mixture.
- Set your airfryer on high and air fry for 20-25 minutes, or bake for 25-30 minutes in a 425 degree oven. Of course you always have the option to deep fry the wings. All methods work great for this recipe. Just pick your favorite. I almost always use the airfryer these days because it is just so simple.
For the sauce:
- Add 2 Tablespoons of butter to a sauce pan over medium high heat. Sauté onions for 5 minutes or until softened, add garlic and Tikka Masala mix and continue to sauté for 1 more minute.
- Reduce heat to medium low, add the rest of the butter and cook until melted.
- Add ketchup, stir to combine, reduce heat to low and cook for 20-minutes stirring occasionally.
To Serve:
- Place wings in a large mixing bowl, pour enough sauce to coat the wings and toss thoroughly.
