Chili powder is one of my daily grab-and-go seasonings for just about everything. I’m pretty picky about the flavor and I generally don’t want it to be spicy, as I prefer to control spiciness, if possible.
This one fits the bill all around! Incredible flavor without the overpowering heat. Awesome, basic chili powder for chili, taco seasoning, blackening, and anything else you would use chili powder for.

I have only used chili powder for, well, chili. Apparently there are far more things you can use it for, lol! Wow, this chili powder is outstanding! Just a quick sniff of the bag is enough to know that this stuff is legit. It made an excellent chili that had the perfect amount of spice. Every store bought organic chili powder I’ve ever tried has been nothing but disappointing. Usually too salty, too spicy without being noted on the label, and almost always just plain stale. I really love that Pinch’s is not only super fresh and delicious, but salt-free– it’s actually pretty difficult to find an organic salt-free chili powder from the stores where I live (WI). I’ve always had problems storing chili powder because of the fact that it’s stale to begin with and quickly loses flavor. With Pinch’s being so fresh, it keeps much longer and I appreciate that, as I don’t use chili powder a whole lot these days. However when I use it, I always put an extra, particularly for a big old batch of chili, because I like it extra flavorful. I also add Buffy’s garlic blend to my chili, and both seem to make a huge difference in the flavor. People have actually commented on my chili being one of the best they’ve ever tried, and I firmly believe it’s because of the freshness of Pinch spices.

INCREDIBLE spice mix! This mix is very cumin dominant mix(I love cumin myself), but that creates an incredible flavor with heat from the peppers for a very enjoyable spice mix.
The first time I mixed this with ground beef chunks that I fried, cheese, and potatoes I mashed with some garlic cloves, it tasted absolutely incredible. The consistency of the smooth mashed potatoes and cheese, with this Chili Powder mix, reminded me of eating flavored Refried Beans. This mix is so incredibly flavorful, and makes an incredible Tex-Mex meal.
I’m going to order a few more 1lb bags of this mix, because my 1lb bag is almost half done already, I’m enjoying this every day!
Hopefully a 5lb bag will be made for this, I definitely would buy it!
I also am someone who is very careful with sourcing ingredients/food, so finding a high-quality, organic spice mix that doesn’t have fillers and has been left as is, is important to me.

While I haven’t used this to make chili yet, I DID open it to smell and taste. I am so glad I ordered it. I have for years blended my own mix of spices for chili, mostly because I don’t want a bunch of fillers or ‘other stuff’ in my spices. This chili powder I can tell will be fantastic and I so much appreciate that it’s clean and salt free. What you get is spice, not a bunch of salt with a few spices.
