The smell when I opened the container was amazing. I must have been using some sad garlic with no flavor before I got this fresh stuff, because it didn’t smell or taste anywhere near as good as this stuff. The only thing fresher than this ground garlic would be actual garlic!

The freshness of this garlic is incredible! This is my new spice store!! When I opened the bag the scent was so strong and pure it was like the scent of garlic bread just out of the oven filling the house. It made me want to eat it straight. In fact I just tasted it. Extremely fresh! It will definitely be going into the first meal I eat. Not only that but the garlic comes from California, not China!

I’ve been using this garlic powder for a year or two since I developed high blood pressure, and a naturopathic doctor friend told me garlic was the #1 way to lower it without use of drugs. It helped take off 40 points from my b/p in the first month, and has helped keep it low since. Given that 80% of garlic sold in this country comes from China, which has beyond contaminated soil, air and water I wanted to find something organic grown in this country. Buyer Beware! This is not the same consistency as the garlic powder you buy in the grocery store. You want their garlic granules. This product is wonderful, but it’s the more like the consistency of flour or cornstarch. It flies up in the air and gets in your nose. I wrote them about it, but got no reply. There is no distinction in the description. I gave it three stars because of this issue.

I’ve been using this garlic powder to make garlic toast to go along with pasta. I just melt some salted butter, mix this powder into the butter, brush it on bread slices, then toast in the oven. It comes out very flavorful, as if I rubbed a clove of garlic on the bread! I love Pinch Spices because they are totally healthy and chemical-free. My husband is allergic to MSGs and breaks out in a bad rash when he has even the smallest bit of them in his food. So far, not one of Pinch’s products has caused any reaction. So you know they are legit!

The garlic powder I am used to (from my grocery store) is actually garlic granules. This is super fine though, like flour or starch. It’s going to work great is coating batter I think.
